A simple breeze ran over his coat as the sun danced upon it happily. Heavy charcoal hooves touched the ground as his great body moved forward at a slow but steady pace. Grass tickled his underbelly and legs as the Clydesdale continued on his way. Broken Ballad flicked his head, moving his forelock out of his eyes, before picking up his pace. He trotted throughout the land, enjoying the sun, the wind, and everything else about this day. Today would be different, today would be a day to remember. A snort escaped him as he came closer to the lake. Petal lake. He thought silently as he looked at the crystal water. He paused in front of it and drank from it slowly, letting the cool liquid refresh him. His head raised and his ears pricked as he looked around for another horse but he could see none.
He walked up a hill silently and smiled as he stood at the top proudly. He reared and let out a shrill neigh before slamming his hooves to the ground. "I claim these lands as mine, Broken Ballad's. I shall share with who wants to." He smiled as his voice echoed slightly before the wind took it away. He walked back down the hill, taking his time so he wouldn’t injure himself. Ballad walked over to an average sized boulder and slowly called on his powers. His eyes glazed over and he felt a rush rip through his veins as he concentrated on the boulder. It slowly rose and he turned it upside down, back and forth, side to side, and finally placed it gently on the ground. His coat had beaded with sweat and he felt slightly weak from the slight use of his power. He sighed softly and began to eat happily.
