While most DDR Revolution fans still think the original PlayStation 2 version of Dance Dance Revolution is the best one to date, the battle between Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on who will be the frontrunner for DDR goes on. Regrettably, there is no real evidence that one is better to play on than the other, so it is really just a matter of opinion. Some of the factors like cost, multiplayer options, quality of the product and ease of use are being debated at this point.
Since the costing of dance revolution online games do not vary in pricing much, the big price factor is really from each system itself. Xbox 360 has a monthly fee for online use with multiplayer functions and Playstation3 does not. That being said, the lower cost of the gta code really offsets the monthly subscription. If you do not own one of these gaming systems yet, than these facts will play a large role in which one to use for DDR. One thing to keep in mind though is the cost being lowered on PS3 recently.
For individuals who crave immediate gratification, The PS3 dates of launch having a delay for the video games versions needs to be considered. Up until now, it is not known if Playstation3 will roll out mainstream games. One plus with PlayStation 3 is that previous DDR games are compatible with the system.
Of course this is if you purchased a Playstation3 in the first or second version of the unit. If you have not yet bought the PS3 playing any older dance revolution online games will not be possible. Also accessories you may have will not function without adding some hardware. Once in awhile you can locate bundles with Xbox360 and PS3 along with a copy of DDR, and a couple of pads. If you are really late to the party you might be able to locate a PlayStation 2 bundle set.
